We found a babysitter....

So after much stress and worry after losing the babysitter I had lined up last week, my mom and I set out on a mission Mon. morning. Well the 10 am appt. was horrible, the house was run down, paint chipping off the walls, dirty furniture, dirty toys, smelled funny and just overall not clean. The woman was nice but a little strange talking to us about bill collectors after the phone rang and she didn't answer it....so needless to say we left there distraught. I had the number for a woman that I called the week before but I couldn't understand her accent over the phone so mom called. She too had a hard time, but was at least able to get an address. So we visited Mrs. Natalya. As soon as we walked in we were relieved. It was spotless, the children were napping, and she was sweet (55 years old). She was easier to understand in person and she has lived in the US for 4 years. She told us of her background in Ukraine where she was a teacher for the Goddard School. She showed us pictures, started inundating me with reference letters, a copy of her diploma translated in English, refernces from former co-workers, and the names and #'s of the 3 children's parents thar were there. She was sooooo organized. She had a form for each child that she fills out daily concerning their drop-off time, when they ate, had diaper changes, etc.... Very, very thorough. And sweet, her accent was like Lorena's, she talked to the kids, took Jax and said, "I'm gonna be your new teacher!" as he smiled. She reminded me of Mrs. Doubtfire, except with a Russian accent instead of a British one. Regardless, I feel completelly comfortable letting Jax with her and feel like a huge burden has been lifted. She even said that her husband speaks Russian with the children so heck maybe Jax will be tri-lingual with English, Spanish, and Russian.
