Ava's 1st Christmas!

The Smith-side kids....

The Reed-side kids

Jaxon enjoyed Christmas, although I must say, he did get a bit overwhelmed from time to time. He got way too much stuff of course, but perhaps his favorite gift was a tractor like his Pappy Smith's. He had a blast on it, even in the cold....I will upload videos soon!

Cousin AJ's Haircut

AJ has been struggling to let his hair grow like his big brother who refuses to let us cut it, despite being called a girl numerous times. I guess 10 year olds have a greater sense of sternness in their decision making. AJ stayed the night last night and I asked him if I could cut his. He agreed and here are the results, (don't worry, we asked mom's permission first!)

Redskins vs. Eagles Game

We recently attended the Redskins/Eagles game  (12-22-08) in Washington. It was a good time. Jared, his brother Brandon and girlfriend Rachael, as well as myself attended thanks to my in-laws gracious early Christmas gift. We attended the pre game tailgate club before. Our seats were awesome, 30 yard line, 15 rows up from the field. It was a little cold(winds were blustery) but we had so much fun we barely noticed!

Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy

We put Ava in here today and we couldn't believe how well she could make it go at only 4.5 months! Watch her!

My work Christmas party

Faust has a long-standing traditional Christmas party where Santa visits and we have a meal. This year it was located at the Lighthouse Family Traditions (which I haven't been to since I was like 12 if not before). It was nice. There were other kids there so Jaxon had a blast and Ava was a perfect angel, as usual. Jaxon wasn't scared of Santa, but  he wasn't jumping for joy either...                                                                                                                                DSCI0691

Thanksgiving '08 ( a lil' late...)

Better late than never they say. Here are a few pics of the kids on Thanksgiving at mom's house. It was nice to get a picture of Pap holding Ava, she will treasure it someday!

Ava went Monday for her 4 month check up. Here are her stats, she is much bigger than big brother at her age. She weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz (25th percentile) was 24.5" long (75th percentile) and I think her head circumference was around 41 cm (30th percentile). The doctor described her as tall and thin. I guess she is going to take after uncle Brandon or my grandfather Reed on my dad's side. He was 6' 4"! Her brother also had a weight check -(22 months) and weighed in at only 21 lb. 5 oz. Still not on the scale, but at least gaining slightly...

Fire House Family Fun Night

We attended a Christmas theme Fire House Family Fun Night catered by Premier Events this past Saturday. Jaxon had a blast. He danced with other children, decorated a ginger bread man and made a foam Christmas ornament. Fun times were had by all. Check out the pics and videos below!
