This post will be long, with lots of pics because we were quite busy~! Yes, its true, Jaxon is now a big 2 year old. We started his birthday weekend off on Friday night with Duckpin Bowling in Hagerstown, MD. Jaxon loved it! We went with Nana and Pap Smith and Jax even learned the rules of waiting his turn!
The shoes they made us rent for him. $3.00! and they didn't even have his size. These were 6's and he wears a 4! You should have seen him walking in them!
"It's heavy Mommy!"
Watching it roll! He'd yell, "Yes!"
Next- was Saturday. The big task for the day was Jaxon's Barney cake that I promised him. It was red velvet cake with Ice cream frosting that I dyed purple and green, and then just went for it. The whole time the naysayers looking on, saying "Uh, it doesn't look like Barney."I told them they would be impressed in the end and they were, what do you think? Does it resemble Barney? Everyone said it was delicious, (I wouldn't know because of my diet, I couldn't partake in it! ) Oh well, its worth it!
Notice the mess in the background
Just looks like a big half-purple blob.
Ahhh, now its coming together~!
Jaxon testing it out for me
The final product, he loved it! (it's hard to write in icing.) Next time, I will have to get the right tools!
Sunday was the big day! We started the morning out with Chuck E. Cheese with Nanny and Pappy Reed. Here are the highlights.
Notice...he found the Barney ride!
Him pushing away his pizza... "I done, I play!"
Mom, Dad, and Ava enjoying the festivities. Notice me, no pizza!
Then on to the Valley Mall for our 2 year/6 months pics for Jaxon and Ava at Picture People. I love that place, I will post those as a separate entry. And finally, it was back to mom and dad's for a mini birthday party. Here are the highlights...
Mmmm, what's this?
Hilarious! Bob, or should I say "Jax" the builder. Look out! They were real tools! He needs those suspenders to keep most of his pants up lol!
Thanks to everyone for making his birthday weekend a success. I am sure that he will remember this one far into the future!
