Jaxon's first birthday (a little late!)

Jaxon turned 1 on January 25, had his party the 26th. It was nice gathering of family and friends and a good time was had by all. Jaxon especially liked the cake (see pics and video) and he loved a rocking horse that he got as well as a wagon. He was hilarious when opening gifts, if they were clothes, he thought he would just throw them to the side, "Next!" (also in one of the videos) We can't believe he is 1 already, his walking is excellent now, he's even got the trot down. Its interesting how he really keeps himself occupied at home now, he just goes from toy to toy to toy. He is such a great kid, he really keeps us moving though! *Also Jaxon went in for his one year check up and weighed 17.0 lbs (off the chart)and was 28.5"(10th percentile. His doctor was not comfortable with his weight gain so he sent him for blood work. Everything came back okay except for his growth hormone level. It was low so we may have to see an andocrinologist, but he didn't seem overly concerned. He goes back for a weight check in 2 weeks.

Little Explorer

Jaxon thought it would be fun to check out things around the house...he found his way into the cupboards and climbed up the refrigerator as well. I suppose this is how they learn through exploration?...We thought it was amusing anyway!

He's got wheels!

I know, I know, I need to update. I have all the Christmas pics and such but only a little time. This news was goundbreaking however, so it takes precedence. All the rest will be coming soon, I promise!


Check him out! It's official Jaxon has learned how to walk. He's been working up the courage to let go for about 3 weeks now, but on Saturday it seemed to click. Possibly the white walking shoes from his Nana Smith helped, but either way he's got it now. A little wobbly of course! Oh and admire his little redskins outfit too!There are 2 different but similar clips of his steps...(feel free to watch one or both)

Santa came to Camp Hill...

This is a scanned image of Jaxon sitting on Santa's lap. Jared and I took him to meet Santa Friday evening at the Capital City Mall. We waited in line for like 25 minutes, but it was worth it. Jaxon was curious at first, but he didn't cry. The photographer couldn't get him to smile, but his Momma did! What a cute pic!

It's snowing!!!!

Brrrr. It's cold outside! Don't worry, we only dressed Jax up long enough to take a picture for his first official snowfall. He thought it was sooooo cool as you can tell from the pics...
